Hi Alan, On a daily basis we transport people from SE22, SE23,SE21, SE24, SE15 and similar areas. On occasion, we have had 3 cars taking people eg Barry Rd SE22 at 5am to Heathrow, 2 cars picking up at Lordship Lane also to Heathrow and say, another 2 cars picking up at 5.15am from Peckham Rye also to Heathrow, My point is with good organisation, one could arrange these pickups in such a way that one car could take 2 or even 3 pickups if the times were staggered like 4.55am, then 5am then 0505am since the pickups are less than a mile apart! Obviously, things like terminal and number of passengers would have to be considered, but it only takes a little to arrange such things!

I am the manager for ADS transport, and we are looking to start a car pooling service that can slash fares from Dulwich area to all the London airports. Although we tried to generate interest a couple of years back, it didn't quite get the attention it deserved. I think it is a good idea for both the drivers and the customers as the drivers would earn a little more, but most importantly, the passengers would be saving up to 40% of a typical cab journey of say, ?40 to Heathrow and ?42 to Gatwick. Moreover, typical journey times wouldn't exceed 70min to either airport, and considering it is a door to door service, I think very good value for money! Responses/opinions/advice all welcome Tony

ADS-Airports Direct Services is a local firm of Airport car specialists who carry up to 100 passengers each week from the SE22, SE21, SE23 AND SE15 areas. We would be interested to find out if customers would be happy to sign up for our cab-sharing scheme to the various London airports as we intend doing a trial run this summer. What we have found is that on certain occassions we have 5 or more cars picking up from the dulwich area and going to the same airport at more-or-less the same time of day, and this could be coordinated so as to pickup within 15min time slots and dropoff according to who has the earlier flight at the terminals... Our fares typically start at around ?38 and we believe customers who travel reasonably light, or in not more than twos, could save up to ?14 as the average charge would be just ?24 for each collection! Considering you are getting a 5 series BMW, an Audi A6/A8 or a Merc E class, i think it is a jolly good deal! ADS your local private hire service, has listened to your comments and indeed will start a more comprehensive service in East Dulwich in the new year. We have listened to what customers are saying regarding child seats/baby seats and will do our best to put your fears to rest, so you can get around London and beyond, safely and securely in an ADS EXECUTIVE car where we combine quality of service with reasonable fares 24hrs a day! All we ask is for customers to give at least a couple of hours notice, if possible, and where not possible to be relatively flexible on pickup times. ADS is bent on keeping our vehicles clean and tidy at all times, no matter the weather, therfore need the extra time in between fares to 'tidy up'. That way, everyone is a winner... Hello everybody, And thankyou for your support! We have had concerned residents and indeed visitors worried over transporting babies/kids in PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES (PHVS) in the last few weeks. ADS DOES provide seating for kids for a nominal fee(?2) and can also hold on to YOUR seat should you prefer to use yours. We will store it in our office till you return, or use it to pick you up! Should you rather not have a seat, you are still legally able to travel with your kids without a seat,in a PHV providing appropriate RESTRAINTS are in place. Our seats are available but must be booked in advance to secure availability as we have limited stock. As we approach the school hols, ADS wishes everyone A GOOD ONE!!!
