  4. I really feel for you. We got cream from the doctors for our daughter. But I found Salcura to be the best. They have a kids range. www.salcuraskincare.com Do you have any pets? A cat? After what felt like a very long time the doctor finally agreed to a blood test at kings. But by the time the results came back I had realised that it was a cat allergy. Can't believe it took me so long to work it out!! But with eczema you can feel like you are going round in circles. Good luck
  5. Can anyone recommend a guitar teacher for a 10 year old? Many thanks
  6. Mephisto - there is a shop on Denman Street (near Piccadilly Circus). Not cheap though but the shoes last a long time.

  9. Hello. We have lived on the Dutch estate for over 6 years. We are very happy here. It's very quiet and friendly - we know our neighbours on our 'way' and on other streets on the estate. Do PM if you have specific questions.
  10. I would recommend Claire Owen Cakes: www.facebook.com/ClaireOwenCakes happy cake eating!
  11. Have you tried JAGS sports centre - entrance on Red Post Hill?
  12. Is anyone considering Canterbury in Kent? It's where I grew up. lots going on with a yearly festival, a newly refurbished theatre (the marlowe), a mainstream cinema and 'cinema 3' for more independent films up at the university.... it's surrounded by lovely kent countryside, great for getting out for walks... and there is now a high speed train to St Pancras. It's a long time since I lived there so maybe people have other Canterbury recommendations/ thoughts, but my one big memory is my mum picking us up from primary school in the summer and taking us to the beach (lovely sandy beaches on the North Kent coast)... bliss! Also, a shameless plug, my mum is selling her beautiful 4 bed family home in Canterbury (close to Bridge primary school and the Simon Langton grammar schools). http://www.geeringandcolyer.co.uk/buy/property/4-bedroom-semi-detached-house-in-canterbury,ct1-for-guide-price-gbp-320,000-ref-1634505/
  13. Hi Would you consider working in an admin role in a school? often these roles are term time only which can work well for parents. And perhaps finding employment that is local to you is of interest. Check out the southwark and other borough websites for job vacancies in schools. For some secondary schools/ academies/ private schools check out their own websites. the women like us website/ agency seems really good and sounds like you are doing all the right things, especially the networking. i found that telling all my friends that i was looking for employment was really helpful. I've been in your position and understand how hard it is! Good luck to you
  14. Hello, I'm interested in finding out about local ukulele classes for young children... does anyone have any recommendations? What age is good to start from? any advice greatly appreciated... many thanks!
