  1. If anyone is looking for a gardener I?d highly recommend Tony Pooley. He?s totally redone two gardens for us in East Dulwich (at our old property and our new house we recently moved to) including the following: - Patios - Rendered flower beds - levelling ground - putting down turf in one house & artificial grass in the other - garden design and landscaping Tony and his team are a pleasure to have around the house (including when I was grumpy and heavily pregnant 😂) His number is 07931 549144
  2. Hello, We are looking for a landscape gardener to remove paving and level our garden, and put down a patio and lawn plus flowerbeds etc Keen to get a high quality finish - would really appreciate any recommendations that anyone might have? Thanks in advance
  3. I'm writing this recommendation as my cleaner Polly has some availability to take on new houses She and her husband are professional, friendly and do a great job. I honestly don't know how my house is cleaned so well in the short time they are here. I look forward to them coming every week because everything looks so nice afterwards. I've used cleaners in the past who I haven't been happy with, so highly recommend. Polly is on +44 7727 042636 PM me for more info if you like.
  4. Phlox - the initial jabs were done by Battersea so I don't blame them for using economical vaccines & having a policy to vaccinate before new owners take the cats... My cat was just an unlucky one
  5. This was a couple of years ago, but I had a very poorly cat with complex illness and the Neighbourhood Vet did an amazing job - I credit them with him growing into healthy & happy cat. They actually advised against any future jabs for him because they suspected an adverse reaction to his initial vaccines (not done by them.) So I'm a very happy customer.
  6. Hello, A month ago I posted on the forum in search of a decorator and a few people messaged me to say they had bad experiences and if I found anyone let them know, so... ... would really like to recommend Vinton McNab on 07708 501 936 He did an absolutely superb job in our living room, was clean and professional and was a real perfectionist when preparing walls etc. We were very happy with the result and would highly recommend.
  7. Sorry, no, the cat I saw has markings
  8. Does Zaza have any markings or is she cream all over?
  9. Hello, We are on the hunt for a great decorator to do our front room. It's wallpapered & we would like it painted... not sure what lovely surprises lurk underneath the wallpaper as it's quite an old house. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  10. None of those jobs seem urgent/necessary as opposed to stuff you would like to do, so you could take your time/save up if necessary and stagger the work. If you like the house, can afford it and it's in a good location I would go for it.
  11. It took me over three months to get an appointment with the nurse after they cancelled twice on the day of the appointment, when I had already booked time off work. Really hope they have improved... I've always had good care from the GPs, it just seems way too busy.
  12. Of course its reasonable to keep your cats in all the time Alex K & KidKruger - was in no way trying to suggest that it wasn't. I'm sorry if my post was misinterpreted.
  13. Well if you take that view, you should never let your cat out at all in case they get run over by a car. I think all cat owners need to come to their own decisions on what they feel comfortable doing.
  14. Cinnabar - I agree 100% with your post. My cat means the world to me, but I think it would be cruel to keep him in all the time because he is so happy when he's outside. At the moment the balance I've struck is to keep him in at night (even though he's not happy at all about this, because he particularly likes going out at night.) There has to be a quality of life argument here too - my cat would be so unhappy being cooped up inside all day that I don't think that would be fair.
  15. Thankyou so much for all this information. I had heard about the cats killed in Croydon but didn't realise it was a danger here too. Let me know if you need any help delivering leaflets.
