What a great idea. School Home Support https://www.schoolhomesupport.org.uk/ work with children and their families to improve low attendance in schools and maximise education opportunities for all children. They would be grateful for any support that you could give.

Clubhouse - charity cafe in Burgess Park
nikthegreek replied to ameliathorpe's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I think dougiebr has confused Brockwell Park and Burgess Park Burgess Park is obviously in Southwark, no need to go via Lambeth :) Great to see the cafe being used to support such a worthwhile cause. -
Lordship Dry Cleaners, 9 Lordship Lane - did some very good repairs for me

Barefoot bowls is very popular in Australia https://www.glenwaverleybowlsclub.com.au/ Providing a licensed bar and opening the greens up for a more relaxed game appealed to a younger demographic. This gave the clubs a new lease of life while keeping the greens available for the original members. I'd love to see that happen here.

Do you mean the one on the A202? That used to be 7am to 7pm - I haven't been that way for a few months though so it might have changed...

You're spot on micky. Saturday mornings are particularly bad with DCPS and visiting school parents taking their little ones to the playing fields. It's not about moving the parking problem elsewhere, double yellow lines on one side are needed just to keep the traffic flowing. I saw an ambulance with lights and siren going, stuck for a least 10 mins because of the congestion.

easiest journey to Heathrow in morning peak?
nikthegreek replied to Bluelagoon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I used to make this journey regularly - the best route I found was going via Red Post Hill, Myatts Fields South and Fentiman Road to Vauxhall Bridge, past Victoria Station and then picking up the A4 at Knightsbridge 8am is pretty much the worst time to leave as you're going to pick up all the school traffic - leave at 7am and you should be fine
