  1. Len "Seven" Goodman - there'll be a party tonight in Heaven....
  2. Eat more Marmite with the added bonus that mosquitos will likely leave you alone in the summer as they are repelled by it (but then again some people are repelled by Marmite)!
  3. I had Invisalign at Half Moon Dental (with Nici) - their care was exceptional, it does take commitment tho, even now I still wear my night time retainers... However the process is always longer than the original estimate (Invisalign said it would take 9 months for my upper teeth and 6 months for my lower teeth, it was in fact 2 1/2 years for both!!) but it was and is one of the best things I've done health wise..... It corrects your "bite", I'd had debilitating headaches for years and it was my out of aligned "bite" that was the cause.....
  4. I had a Harvey's for years but the cost of the salt blocks became prohibitive. Now I have an Aquabion system (apparently the NHS use them) and it's made such a difference.... Cost about £600 for the unit and £150 to be fitted - compared with £3,000 for the Harvey's water softener, plus it doesn't take up any room....
  5. A few years ago in WD, my sister was threatened with acid attacks, gang rape and murder by one of these "ex-offenders". My brother-in-law called the police (after being threatened himself) and the charmer was arrested a couple of streets away.....

What did the zero say to the eight? Nice belt....
  8. Anything by Bowie, UB40, U2, Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black - all nails down a blackboard for me.... Give me the Small Faces on a 24/7 loop and I'm a happy girl..... Although Herb Alpert (roll on June 2023 at Ronnie Scott's finally) sends me into a nostalgic dreamworld.....

    Air fryer

Soak the chips in water for at least half an hour, pat dry (as dry as possible), coat in a teaspoon of oil (add seasoning eg Old Bay) then allow the oil to drain off, then double fry..... Part fry, remove from fryer and part fry a second batch and remove; then repeat..... I know how to cook chips in a deep fryer BUT NOT IN AN AIRFRYER thanks any way as this how I do my chips This is how I do chips in my air fryer (Ninja dual zone XL) and they are always crispy with fluffy insides.... Nothing quite like chips from a deep fat fryer but these come a pretty close second and means my heart attack will be delayed (hopefully)!

  11. Curiously the second worst meal I've ever had in my life was at Franklins - bones in the raw rabbit terrine, frozen steak reheated and instant coffee (worst ever was at Chez Bruce!)..... I think by slating both Franklins and Chez Bruce in a single sentence you have demonstrated that your view on restaurants should be treated with real caution. Unless, of course this was a (well-disguised) comedy message. In any event I am sure Tim, Rod and the team will be delighted to be ranked over Chez Bruce! All restaurants have off days - I've had excellent and terrible meals at Le Gavroche, last week I was served raw pork at a world famous restaurant in Provence. To go back on topic, my favourite Sunday lunch is Manuel's at Gipsy Hill

  13. It is possible to pay in cheques using online banking, but how do you pay in cash online?
  14. I was threatened with acid being thrown in my face, gang rape and murder by one of these delightful "ex-offenders" because I wouldn't buy anything. He also threatened to come back, smash up my car, break into the house and steal everything in it. I called the police and he was arrested, not sure what happened to him after that.... Now I never open the door to anyone I don't know, I have a videophone (not a Ring camera as I had one stolen, ironic) which also records.....
