  1. I've just followed your advice, Rich. It was hugely helpful. Thank you.
  2. Very unhealthy - and totally delicious. Let me know if you ever come across any in London, Louise
  3. A bit late to the party but Waitrose is usually a good bet for veggie haggis. The thing I haven't had any joy finding in London is butteries - Scottish rolls that are a bit like flat, salty croissants.
  4. Does anyone know the Swedish for "love"? The sort of love shared by best friends or sisters - not romantic love. It's for a personalised present and Google throws up multiple options. Any help would be great.
  5. Our Sky internet has started to go slow, especially in the evening. Is anyone else having the same problem? (Trying to work out if it's a problem locally or just us!)
  6. Yes, definitely get a separate work phone. I have one phone for everything and it makes it very hard to switch off from work - especially now that I get texts amd WhatsApps about work, as well as calls and emails.
  7. We definitely need more of these! I've put my name down for one or two as they pop up or if I walk by them and they seem half-empty. I've climbed to second on the list for a space in one - which Cyclehoop tells me means it is likely at least a year away. I'm 54th on the list for another one, which, at the same rate, means a 27-year wait!
  8. Hi Sue I didn't ask HP but when I got through my 300-page allowance in a flash, Googling suggested HP classed a page as having 5% ink coverage, which seemed to make sense. That was a year ago and I've been really careful since. Perhaps it's time to let rip and print out some photos and see how I get on! If I can do it without wiping out my allowance, it will be brilliant.
  9. I've got the Instant Ink plan too. A couple of things to watch out for - despite what it says, it does charge by the amount of ink used and not by the page. If you are printing text from Word, say, you are fine, but if you print out a page that has pictures or boxes, that will use up much more ink, so is classed as several pages. That means that printing out a report with lots if graphs and detail can quickly eat up your entire monthly ration of pages. Also, I found I was always running out of ink at first. New cartridges are automatically posted out to you when the ink is running low but they weren't being sent early enough and then when they did arrive, they'd be too big for the letter box and so I'd have to go to the sorting office to pick them up. HP sent me a few to have in reserve, so that is all OK now. On the plus side, colour printing is no more expensive than black & white and the plan has saved me money overall (especially now that I think twice before printing out reports).
  10. Has anyome tried HP's Instant Ink? You pay a monthly fee to be able to print X number of pages and the cartridges are posted out to you. It's meant to work out cheaper but I've found it a bit pants so far. The cartridges take a week to arrive (longer if I have to go to the sorting office to pick them up) and (when I do have ink) I zoom through my page allowance - HP seems to double or triple count pages if they contain dense printing. Anyway, I'm thinkimg about cancelling my subscription but I wondered if anyone has used it and got it to work for them?
  11. I thought the same and arranged for a parcel to be redelivered to the post office on Lordship Lane. I went alomg today and they sifted through a massive Santa's stack of parcels before saying it hadn't arrived yet. When I said it was due yesterday, they said that this has beem happenimg. So no parcel yet.
  12. Hello I'd like to pop along tomorrow, if that's OK? Are you still looking for new members? Fiona
  13. Just bought my copy _ looking forward to getting stuck into it! I'm enjoying the variety of books. Perhaps we can try a bit of non-fiction next?
