  1. Join us for some family fun as we search for birds and minibeasts in our wildlife garden and take part in crafts, games and challenges. Find your inner cuckoo or help out the wild bees.   2. Join us for a day of family fun for Southwark residents. Free but £3 refundable deposit. You will discover wildlife in our nature garden and find out how to help out the animals in the winter by making bird food, an insect hotel and a bee brick. Suitable for primary aged children and their parents/carers but you are welcome to bring younger ones along. Not a drop in event. Booking is required. We can provide hot drinks but bring a packed lunch. We have a warm indoor space, toilets and baby change facilities. There is free parking on the surrounding streets on Sunday if you need it.
  3. Join us after school for free fun activities for families living in Southwark exploring the wildlife in our garden and taking action to help nature. Every week from Tuesday 19th September till 14th November 3.45 till 5pm. Suitable for primary aged children but feel free to bring your little ones or older ones too.   5. Join the London Wildlife Trust for a free afterschool course for mums, dads and their children who are Southwark residents. See in the spring on this weekly course from after school till 5pm. Discover the wildlife on your doorstep at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening, 28 Marsden Road, SE15 4EE. Bring a snack and then get started on our activities, games and wildlife exploration.   6. Join the London Wildlife Trust for a free family day finding out how to help wildlife in winter at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening, 28 Marsden Road, SE15 4EE. Southwark residents only. Have fun exploring the garden and looking for winter wildlife, making a ladybird hotel, a mouse house and food for the birds as well as a game and a story. Join in free fun half term courses for families living in Southwark with the London Wildlife Trust at the Centre for Wildlife Gardening, 28 Marsden Road, SE15 4EE Monday and Tuesday 14th & 15th February 10 till 3 Nature Detectives - 2 days learning about tracks and signs of wildlife and setting traps to find their footprints and other clues to garden wildlife. Friday 18th February 10 till 3 Reduce, Reuse and Recycle - discovering ways to reduce our impact on the environment with composting, trail, creativity and planting.   13. Join the Friends of Green Dale and Butterfly Conservation for this day at Green Dale Fields behind the large Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill. Butterfly talks, live moths,minibeast hunt, crafts, planting, refreshements and music. Free. Take part in the Big Butterfly count. Stalls near the astroturf.

  15. Free after school courses for Southwark families from straight after school till 5pm. Choose Mondays or Tuesdays for 7 weeks till the end of June. Come and explore our lovely wildlife garden and discover the wildlife living there. Build your identification skills, have fun playing games, have a go at pond dipping, bird watching and bush beating.
