  1. Comfortable brown two seater sofa available 168cms wide by 90cms deep. Folds out to a sofabed. View/collection from North Dulwich.
  2. Personally I think this is a terrible idea which affects the people who need help the most. There is a public consultation, info at https://www.londontravelwatch.org.uk/ticket-offices-have-your-say/ As far as I can see you have to contact each network separately which isn't great, but worth letting them know what you think.
  3. Yes I got caught too, had no idea about this new restriction! there don't seem to be any advance warnings either which I've seen in other locations. I was heading South down Adys Road and just didn't see the sign at all. I don't think there's much point in appealing but I will raise the issue of poor signage.
  4. Kids playing on the astroturf behind the Hamlet football ground, or people hanging out in that s[ace before it disappears under flats. And of course Dulwich Hamlet on a match day! Streams of people in DH scarves etc, always a great atmosphere.
  5. If you are thinking of objecting and haven't got round to it, please do so. Supporters are currently double the number of objectors, this is an important local amenity – free open space for young people and a wild life haven.
  6. 1) Putin will see the error of his ways, apologise, and gracefully withdraw from the Ukraine 2) CEOs etc will wonder why they really need to earn more than £xk a year and decide to rebalance the pay structure so that the lowest earners wage is a decent proportion of the top earners in any company (as in John Lewis assuming they still do that). 3) An international law is passed that makes companies accountable for the safe disposal of their goods - from toys to cars and beyond. 4) Someone finally patents walking shoes with headlights so that you can avoid open manholes, dog shit etc while night strolling. I could go on but have just realised you asked for predictions, not a wish list.
  7. We have an Epson Aculaser 1100 which has suddenly developed a fault... does anyone know of anyone who offers a service for these? I'm sure it has life in it yet (and we have a full set of spare cartridges)!
  8. I'm not sure this is really about street furniture – it's how we grapple with the issue of using cars less. As a cyclist, walker and occasional motorist (and local resident and parent of local school children) I welcome the attempts to make driving not the best option. This junction was always a nightmare for parents and children, Dulwich Village had horrendous traffic and encouraging the kids to use bikes felt like the dangerous option. I have seen many more parents and kids doing the school run on bikes which is better for everyone. I think this is a great place for kids and parents to catch up after school, and it's now a lot more colurful! I don't think they have made the best job of road marking etc but it's going in the right direction IMHO.
  9. It's generally worth checking the petitions to parliament because the gov has to respond to these, including considering it for a debate, once they get past 100,000 – so at least it gets noticed. There is one here https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/619781 that calls for a general election to decide who should take this mess forward. It's already over 500k so due for a response but still worth signing.

    Combi sewer

We have a shared sewer with neighbour and in the past when there has been a problem, such as a blockage, the council has come to sort it. So unless the rules have changed (this was a while ago) you're right, and the council is responsible for this. No idea which dept, environmental health?
