  1. Had Ben over yesterday and would highly recommend. Clean, tidy, did the job - and the most important thing turned up when they said he would an only a coupe of days after initial contact.
  2. We used these people recently - not completely local but their London office is in Elephant and Castle. They can rother just repair a window or do a thorough job to make sure it is all operating properly, new fittings etc as well .We had the latter done on a few windows and they really did a thorough and professional job .. at what seemed a very reasonable price when I saw how much work went in to each window (some of our timers were farily rotten)! 3. We are looking for new members who want to swim in the evenings (8pm) at Dulwich school sports centre. We are a family friendly swimming club (details at www.sjsc.org.uk) meeting twice a week (also Sunday 11.50 at Alleyns) for fairly realxed but fun sessions. We have space in our Thurday sessions so if you are an older child looking to find a place to improve your swimming, or an adult looking to revive your interest in swimming (or just looking for an alternative to ploughing up and down lengths) then come along and try us out. If you decide to join there is an annual fee of ?50 or ?25 under 18, and each session you attend costs ?3. This is cheaper than swimming at Dulwich baths so don't hold back!
  4. St James's swimming club is a local family friendly club which meets twice a week, Sunday morning (11.50) at Alleyns School and Thursday evening (8.00) at Dulwich College. the web site is at sjsc.org.uk if you want more information.
  5. Yes, enter through pedestrian gate by the lodge in Townley Road. Walk down between a couple of buildings then left and right. At which stage you will see the dining room on your left, and the pool entrance is straight ahead. We will try to pur up a couple of signs to direct people ...
  6. St James's Swimming club has been active in Dulwich since 1878. We meet twice weekly (at Dulwich College on Thurday evening and Alleyn's School on Sunday morning). The club is run by volunteers and the coaches are all ASA qualified. You can find out more details on our website at sjsc.org.uk. On Sunday March 22 we are having a free open session at Alleyn's pool 11.30 - 12.30. Come along to take part in a free session with some front crawl coaching, length training and fun races at the end. Any children must be able to swim at least a length, as we improve swimmers we do not teach from scratch, and the pool at Alleyn's is not suitable for non swimmers. If you do come please turn up in time for a prompt start in the pool at 11.30. If your child learned to swim at school but is not getting any more sessions, and does not want to progress to a 5 day a week training regime, this is the perfect middle ground where they can learn to swim all 4 strokes with expert coaching but without too much pressure (and lots of fun). If you enjoy the session you can sign up to join, annual membership is ?50 or ?25 if under 17 or under 21 and in full time education (this covers ASA membership and incidental expenses of the club). Then you just pay ?3 a session (which covers the bath hire). If you want more information you can reply to this post, visit the web site where there is a contact form, mail [email protected], or phone Alasdair on 07818 077 057 (leave a message if I don't answer). Otherwise just turn up at Alleyn's school pool on March 22. See you there!
  7. Yes, please get in touch to let us know when you would like to come. Look forward to meeting you and your daughter.
  8. I see this post has been moved to the 'Businesses' section of the forum. Fair enough but I would just like to make it plain that St James's is a club, run by unpaid vounteers. Membership and fees go to paying for ASA membership, bath hire and so on.
  9. St James's Swimming Club has been around in East Dulwich since 1878. It is run by volunteers and offers coaching and training sessions to children which must be able to swim at least a length (we do not do learn to swim sessions). Adults also welcome to join in! We meet twice a week, Thursday evenings at Dulwich College and Sunday mornings at Alleyn's. Check out the details at www.sjsc.org.uk. You can come along any Sunday for a trial swim - you'll have to pay the session fee (?3 pp) but not membership if you decide not to join (membership is ?25 under 17, ?50 adults). Look forward to seeing you ...
