Rules for Selling Items on East Dulwich Forum
Only goods available for collection in SE22 and surrounding areas of South London may be listed for sale on this forum board.
Goods sold via EDF must be legal, safe, accurately described and fit for purpose.
The following items are not allowed to be sold or given away via the forum:
- Animals
- Tobacco
- Knives and other weapons
- Adult goods
Ensure your thread title accurately describes what you are selling. Please put the price of the item in the thread title where possible, e.g. "Leather Sofa - £50".
If you have a big list of similar items to sell at once (e.g. a garage sale) then please put them all in one thread. Do not create more than 3 topics per day per account.
Where possible, please attach a photo, or a link to a shop where the item can be purchased. To upload an image, simply click the 'Choose Files' link below the post text area.
All sale transactions must be organised independently between the buyer and seller. The East Dulwich Forum cannot have any involvement in the transaction and therefore will not take responsibility for disputes (e.g. faulty goods or misleading description). Perhaps this comes from a proposal by former Dulwich Society chair of Transport sub-committee Alastair Hanton to rename Sydenham Hill station South Dulwich. The argument being the station name doesn't reflect where it is. The train operating company told him it would cost £100,000 and that they had no plans to make this name change. -
Another recomendation for Robert Mills. Our thermostat was on the blink, called Monday and came yesterday and serviced the boiler and fixed the thermostat, Fab service. -

Yes there is certainly inconsiderate behaviour but the problem is made worse in the ED area due to the inadequate pavement width. See attached map, source is p13 in https://content.tfl.gov.uk/lsp-app-six-b-strategic-neighbourhoods-analysis-v1.pdf. Isn't it striking how much narrower pavements are across Southwark than neighbouring Lambeth for instance? That's why it was wrong for Southwark to limit the survey to just a few streets and why radical solutions to how rubbish & recycling are stored are needed. And yes maybe that includes some sort of ban on leaving bins out on narrow pavements. Plus perhaps underground communal bins like on the continent or maybe an interim solution of large bins replacing a car parking space or two.
