Rules for Selling Items on East Dulwich Forum

Only goods available for collection in SE22 and surrounding areas of South London may be listed for sale on this forum board.

Goods sold via EDF must be legal, safe, accurately described and fit for purpose.

The following items are not allowed to be sold or given away via the forum:

  • Animals
  • Tobacco
  • Knives and other weapons
  • Adult goods

Ensure your thread title accurately describes what you are selling. Please put the price of the item in the thread title where possible, e.g. "Leather Sofa - £50".

If you have a big list of similar items to sell at once (e.g. a garage sale) then please put them all in one thread. Do not create more than 3 topics per day per account.

Where possible, please attach a photo, or a link to a shop where the item can be purchased. To upload an image, simply click the 'Choose Files' link below the post text area.

All sale transactions must be organised independently between the buyer and seller. The East Dulwich Forum cannot have any involvement in the transaction and therefore will not take responsibility for disputes (e.g. faulty goods or misleading description). However, accusations of fraud are taken seriously - please report any such occurrences to the forum administrator via the Contact Us button at the bottom of the page.

    • But on the app at least, if you go "home", you are shown  the newest post on each section of the forum. And what seems like 99% of the time, in the lounge, it's the word game "thingy". How does that make anyone "experience the forum as a whole"? If I was new to the forum and  didn't know what the lounge was, it certainly wouldn't make me inclined to investigate further. And even if I was into word games on local forums, I'm not sure I would look further into one called a "thingy". I expect someone thought it was funny at the time.
    • You could try the Citizens Advice people in Peckham? https://www.citizensadvicesouthwark.org.uk/
    • Really pleased to have found a plumber as prompt and efficient as Aria!    We had an emergency leak in a top floor flat on a Sunday morning, and after scrambling around for someone to come out and fix it same day (even Pimlico plumbers refused!) Aria arrived at 1pm and very quickly identified and fixed the issue. A gem of a tradesmen, don’t bother with anyone else!
    • I don't necessarily agree with another different section. I mean, there are plenty of threads I don't choose to read simply as they're not a topic of interest to me so what's the difference here? Creating a "games" section doesn't mean conversation will improve in the Lounge more than anywhere else and segregating further would likely push users to those areas instead of experiencing the forum as a whole. 🤷‍♀️
