    • Is it a very Clean sound like a Hone (ie. not like a drill or a squirrel) and most importantly "always always always" exactly the same sound, and not a Hoooo but a HewwWWWwne (it's keeping me awake), and it's random
    • Now you mention it, I have...but up near the Horniman Museum. I chalked it up to a neighbour doing something crazy.
    • You probably have already checked them out, but Virgin Media are often an option. Your ISP won't suggest that, as they can't provide services over them, only Virgin Media themselves can. Support can be a bit terrible though, but mind you which residential ISP doesn't?
    • Ultimately, nobody really  wants to pay for them. The banking doesn't make them any money and should the state really be subsidising the functions that the banks themselves used to, and should be providing? On top of that, they have a dwindling user base for the other competencies like currency exchange and logistics. I personally just use Google Pay abroad, and get my deliveries picked up by the postie or use a deposit box.
