    • The water companies don't do their job. The council (i.e. us) pay to remedy their underinvestment in drainage and sewerage infrastructure and we give up our open spaces for the purpose of mitigating the impact. Privatised profits, socialised costs.
    • Thanks to everyone who recommended Paul. He came to my rescure when my first floor shower / wet room started leaking. The leak was coming from between the tiled floor and the top of the drain. Paul first asked me to send him photos, then talked the problem through with me and, although he was willing to come out and fix the leak, he suggested I save the money by fixing it myself and told me what to do. It worked brilliantly. Paul was amazingly kind and is now number one on my contacts list should I ever have other tiling problems.  
    • Yep, national debt is different to deficit. National debt was £800 Billion in 2010 when the Tories first took office. Thy left office with it standing at £2.6 Trillion...
