Join us for a serene and relaxing hour in the West 16th Studio, where Malou of @yoga.sound.journey will guide you through a Sound Bath including some gentle movement and pranayama (breathing practices) to calm, rest and restore. What a perfect way to kick off your Valentine’s date!
Sound Baths are very efficient at regulating the nervous system, helping it to shift from the sympathetic state (your body’s fight or flight/’to do’ list/on your way to a burn-out mode) to the parasympathetic state (in which you rest and digest, dream, access your memory and get your creativity to flow). The powerful sounds and vibrations of the Tibetan bowls help the brain switch from Beta (normal waking consciousness) to Theta brainwaves (the state just before falling asleep), which supports calm and regeneration.
Malou is a Yoga teacher and certified Sound Therapist, working with authentic Tibetan singing bowls.
To ensure you enjoy the continued sense of wellbeing that is inevitable after a sound bath, why not book a table for our delicious Valentine’s Dinner Pop Up, hosted by Dee of Cooking Happy, the incredibly chef behind some out-of-this-world Thai food. Follow this link for dinner reservations.
